Blog Approach

I have several ideas for how to approach this blog and wish to share them with you. Feel free to offer your suggestions!

  • Have a set theme for the week for example: macro photography, posting macro-themed photos that week. Also we can share tips on how to use macro, what settings work in harmony w/ macro, things to try, etc. Also that week discussion via comments will be open and we can discuss what we have done, any questions we might have and collectively we will try and answer any questions that might come up.
  • Discuss any problems we might be having in any given area and offer our advice within ourselves.
  • I will try to post a photo every day or two so I can share some of my photos with friends and family.

I love and appreciate comments so don't hesitate to comment on my posts.

The Launch

Ever since I can remember, my parents have had an interest in photography, and it was inevitable that their interest and skill would somehow make it's way into me. When I was six years old I got my first digital camera, an Intel Play. I was very excited and was rarely seen without it.

My interest grew as every few years I would get a new camera, with another set of features to learn from and play around with. My parents have taught me what they know from their experience (which definitely gave me a leg up), and I have continued to read and explore the world of pixels on my own. I enjoy doing it, and learning more in this realm. I have become the official photographer, videographer, and documentor of my family's history and find many ample opportunities to expand my knowledge in this field.

I was seeking to go to the next level in photography, when a few days ago, my Mom suggested that I start a photography blog. I instantly jumped on the idea--it was perfect! This blog would be the combination of my interests in writing and photography and give me an opportunity to be creative and reap from and teach other young photographers.
So who's with me for Pixelation Exploration!
