What Are You Looking For?
Why Photography?
Photography is very much a hidden art, though we photographers do not use easels and paint brushes we do use pixels to reproduce the beauty we see. As Christians, the purpose of our art is to freeze in time the immense beauty our LORD God has manifested in His creation. Not only is creation something delightful to the eyes but it gives us a small glimpse of the nature of our Lord. For example, when we paint a roaring waterfall cascading down into a peaceful river valley below, we bring glory to God because it is displaying a small part of His nature. In the roaring water fall is His awesome might and omnipotent hand, in the peaceful river is His steady waters of peace. Everywhere we look we see this pattern in creation.
Photography is another way of capturing that awe-inspiring waterfall scene, the only difference is the method, the artist uses paint while we use pixels. But it not as easy as "say cheese" and squeezing the shutter, it takes the same diligence and skill that art does. So that is why I started this blog, to explore the pixels. It is my hope that many may benefit from the experience.
I invite you to join me for Pixelation Exploration.
